During Sam's time in his secondary school, he has participated in many Values in Actions community work to give back to the community and Sam was an active student in his CCA, Concert Band.
During his time in Secondary school, Sam has went overseas school trips to Bintan Island, Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to do community work. In Bintan, Sam helped to paint a school there and socialise with the kids over there. In Kuala Lumpur, Sam visited an Orphanage to play games with the orphans and also teaching them some simple English.
Sam was an active member of his school Concert Band. During the time when he was in the band, Sam represented his secondary school and participated in 2 Singapore Youth Festival. In which he helped the school to achieve 2 Certificate of accmplishmet.
Sam was invited back to his secondary school, Bendemeer Secondary School to give a talk about his past experience in his secondary school to motivate his juniors and also on how he overcome all the challenges he has faced. He was awarded with a certificate given by the school in appreciation for his efforts.
